Med H2 is a Euro-Mediterranean initiative led by the Corsican Hydraulic Equipment Office that brings together nine partners from France, Italy, Greece, Croatia, and Cyprus to preserve, regenerate, and promote the water heritage of Mediterranean islands. By combining intercultural cooperation, traditional knowledge, and innovative practices, the project addresses water scarcity and climate change through the restoration of hydraulic systems such as cisterns, wells, and terraces. Med H2 fosters resilience, efficient water use, and long-term stewardship of island landscapes. Through educational actions, pilot projects, and community engagement, it promotes the Mediterranean values of frugality, respect, and cooperation, building a shared and sustainable framework for managing water resources and ensuring their transmission to future generations.
